By adding turpentine to the paint sprinkled with a brush over Battal marbling, it lets you make a technical type of ebru that creates perforated, veined or porous patterns on the surface. This technique makes the paint spread more on the water and form veins, giving the marbling a three-dimensional, dynamic look. It produces smaller veins than paraffin.
The Difference Between Turpentine and Paraffin: When turpentine is added to the paint it forms smaller, finer veins ; this gives more detailed, delicate textures. Paraffin, on the other hand, forms larger, more pronounced veins . Using the two materials together or separately, different texture effects can be created on the ebru surface.
Technical Specifications: 50 cc | Liquid form
Usage: Add a few drops of turpentine to the prepared ebru paint, mix, and sprinkle it onto the tray with a brush. Watch the veining effect and adjust the amount.
